Spicy Smashed Potatoes Recipe

Serves 2



5 baby potatoes

2 tbsp Meraki Mala Butter, softened

2 sprig of coriander, finely chopped

3 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp chili flakes

Salt/Black Pepper to taste



  1. Preheat oven to 180C.
  2. Bring a pot of water to boil, add potatoes and boil for 12-15 minutes till fork tender and soft. Alternatively, prick baby potatoes with a fork and microwave for 10mins flipping them halfway.
  3. Use a fork and smash the potato down as thin as possible while keeping it intact. Let them steam dry for 5mins for extra crispiness.
  4. Coat potatoes with olive oil, black pepper and salt. Roast in an oven for 20-30mins until crispy.
  5. Toss potatoes with butter, chili flakes and coriander.
